Privacy Policy for Pros - Cons

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is handled in the Pros - Cons app ("the App").

Information We Collect

We believe in collecting only the data necessary to provide and improve the service. We do not collect personal information like your name, age, or address, but we do process some data to make the app functional.

1. Account Information

To use the App, you can log in using various methods. Your session is managed securely by Firebase Authentication. We support:

• Sign in with Google or Apple: If you choose to sign in with a third-party service, we receive a unique identifier from them to create and manage your account. We do not receive your password or personal profile data.
• Anonymous Sign-in: You can use the app without creating a permanent account. In this case, a temporary, anonymous user ID is created to save your data on your device.

2. Your Decisions and Data

The decisions, pros, cons, and any associated content you create are securely stored and protected on Google's Cloud Firestore service. This data is linked to your user account (whether identified or anonymous).

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to provide and improve the App's functionality.

• Firebase Cloud Firestore: Used to store and sync your decisions across your devices.
• Firebase Authentication: Used to manage your login session securely.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): Used for two purposes: to send very rare announcements from the developer about the app, and to send notifications for collaborative features (e.g., when someone joins your shared decision).
• Firebase Remote Config: Used to remotely manage certain app configurations to improve the user experience without requiring an app update.

Artificial Intelligence Features

The App uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered by Google's Gemini 1.5 Flash model to provide suggestions and analysis. We want to be transparent about how this works:

• No Data Persistence: The AI features do not persist or store any of your personal data.
• Prompt Construction: Your decision data (titles, pros, cons) is used only to construct a prompt that is sent to the Gemini API. The response is generated and sent back to you, and the data is not retained by the model for training or any other purpose.

Third-Party Services

Subscriptions

Our subscriptions are managed through RevenueCat. We do not process or store your payment information. All transactions are handled securely by the application store provider. You can manage or cancel your subscriptions at any time through your application store's account settings.

Data Deletion

You are in full control of your data. You can delete your account at any time directly from within the App. When you delete your account, all decisions and associated data you have created will be permanently deleted from our servers.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
